The device supports single MII/RMII/Turbo MII and can provide network speeds up to 200 Mbps. In addition, LAN9353 can be configured to support dual RMII operations. This device provides virtual PHY functionality, which can simulate a single PHY connection to the host SoC through MII/RMII/Turbo MII interfaces, simplifying software development. This feature also allows system designers to replace single PHY and Ethernet switches to create multiple SKUs from the same software driver. LAN9353 integrates all functions of the 10/100 switch system, including switch matrix, packet buffer, buffer manager, MAC, PHY transceiver, and serial management.
